Dr. Somasundaram Sathapan is an experienced Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Currently working at Sime Darby Medical Center, formerly known as Subang Jaya Medical Center. Dr Somasundaram Sathapan or Dr Soma has also worked as Consultant Surgeon at, Department of G. Surgery and Unit of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, at Hospital University Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM). He has also worked at Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery at The Morriston Hospital in Swansea, Wales, UK.

Dr. Somasundaram has performed good number of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery procedures and has taken special interest in post Mastectomy Breast Reconstruction using both Latissimus Dorsi muscle with implant and TRAM Flap Reconstruction. Dr. Somasundaram has good experience in performing other cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures like, Breast Reduction, Abdominoplasty (Liposuction), Face lift, Brow Lift, Blepharoplasty, Breast Augmentation, Breast Lift.

Dr. Somasundaram performs, an average of 500 procedures a year, and almost half of his clients are from across the world.

Dr. Somasundaram was registered with the GMC but Dr. Somasundaram have voluntarily withdrawn registration, as he had stopped working in UK since 2001 December.
